Merry everything

Hi all! It's Sylvia here today on the blog with my last post of 2023. First of all I would like to wish you a very merry christmas just in case I don't see you anymore this year and I'd like to thank you all for reading, commenting and maybe saving the cards I have been posting throughout the year. Today I'd like to show you this funny Christmascard, that you can make in less than 1 hour. Let's start!

step 1: take a piece of (kraft) cardstock of 19 x 21 cm and score to form a topfold slimline card. Take another piece of (white) cardstock of 9 x 19 cm for the panel, round the corners if you like (I used an inverted punch for that)

step 2: diecut in red cardstock: Mrs. Claus' dress and heart (set 1991), Santa's hat (set 1990) , two striped candy straws overlay (set 1996), the smallest berries 1x (set 1994), the largest berries 2x (set 1994)

in white cardstock: Mrs. Claus apron and dress trims (set 1991), Santa's hat trim and pompom,

Santa's sleeve trim (set 1990), 2 x solid candy straws (set 1996)

in black cardstock: oval glasses, balloon string, 2 x little star (set 1621), KEEP the glasses dropouts!

in green cardstock: 1 x holly leaves small, 2 x holly leaves large (set 1994)

in brown (kraft) cardstock: 5 clothespins (set 1669)

step 3: assemble all parts as shown in the photo. For Mrs. Claus' bra, put a small piece of double sided adhesive at the back of the glasses, pop the dropouts back in and cut the balloon string in half as if it were the straps of the bra. Cut one of Santa's white sleeve trims lengthwise in half and adhere each piece to the top of the bra. Centre the smallest holly leaves with the berries in between the cups.

step 4: cut a piece of red/white bakers twine of approx 30 cm and tie it to the poles to form a clothesline/washing line. Glue the larger holly leaves and berries to the poles. Arrange the clothes on the line, use the clothespins to secure them to the line.

step 5: stamp the sentiment 'merry everything' in black versafine at the bottom centre of the panel. Adhere the panel to the cardstock card.

I hope you enjoyed making this card. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask, I'd be happy to help you out. For now I'd like to say thank you once more, wishing you all a happy and healthy New Year. Hopefully we'll see each other in 2024 here on the blog, at my creative facebook page or on one of the Elizabeth Craft Design facebook sites. Bye for now!

Love

Sylvia
